At Alabama Power, she drives industrial growth by identifying strategic opportunities across key sectors such as chemicals, automotive and electric vehicles, life sciences and biotech, and forest products. Her work includes leading initiatives such as MAST, Alabama's Gulf Coast Chemical Corridor growth strategy, positioning the state as a premier hub for advanced manufacturing and chemical innovation.

Stephens' expertise is grounded in her technical background and business development experience. Before her current role, she managed project development and negotiated long-term power purchase agreements for Southern Power, a wholesale energy subsidiary of Southern Company.

Beyond her corporate role, Stephens serves on the board of directors for Bio Alabama, the state's leading organization advancing biotechnology and life sciences. Through this position, she helps shape strategies that foster innovation and attract biotech investment to Alabama's growing ecosystem.

Stephens earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering from Auburn University, where she remains a member of 100+ Women Strong, an alumni initiative supporting women in engineering. She also mentors young women pursuing STEM careers.

When she's not driving economic growth, Stephens enjoys traveling, spending time with her nieces and exploring the outdoors with her English springer spaniel, Winnie.
