Bevin leads a team devoted to supporting the success of the communities in Alabama through asset assessments, strategic planning and a focus on human, financial and physical capital. Her team provides workforce analytics and works with allies throughout the state on workforce development strategies. They also assist communities in determining optimal capital stack for desired projects, including federal, state and private grants or loans, new market tax credits and qualified Opportunity Zone funds. A significant focus of her team’s work is in rural parts of Alabama.
Bevin joined Alabama Power in 2013 as an analyst for the Business Intelligence team, developing and supporting research projects and leads analysis for new and current customer growth opportunities in several industry sectors. She soon took on the role of supervisor, and under her leadership, developed specific, innovative solutions to aid in achieving growth goals for both Alabama Power and the companies it serves. She also served as assistant to the executive vice president of Customer Service and worked on several special projects.
She has over 12 years of experience in leadership, financing planning, analytics and project consulting. A graduate of The University of Alabama, Bevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and a master’s degree in Corporate Valuation. She is actively involved in the community, currently serving or having served on boards and committees for Junior League of Birmingham, Service Guild of Birmingham, Cahaba Medical Center Foundation and Pregnancy After Loss Support. She is also the co-founder and executive director for Leah’s Legacy Foundation.
Outside of work, Bevin enjoys spending time with her family and watching her kids play sports. She attempts to CrossFit a few times a week and is a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church, where she and her husband teach in the preschool on Sundays.
“It’s an honor for me to help communities grow and bring more opportunity to our state. Getting to know the communities we serve and finding ways to open doors for more business is what I find most rewarding.”
