Committed to the growth and success of Alabama, Tripp plays a vital role within Alabama Power’s Economic Development team. His time, energy and focus are spent on finding ways to assist with economic growth and workforce development progress. This oftentimes finds him leading the charge with non-profit groups in the communities where he lives and serve – currently, Baldwin and Mobile counties.
Tripp serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, is chairman of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was past chair for the North Baldwin Young Professionals. He is a member of the North Baldwin Chamber Foundation Board of Directors, a board member of the North Baldwin Industrial Development Board, serves on the Baldwin County United Way Board of Directors, is a board member for the Alabama Power Service Organization – Mobile Division, and is a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama. Tripp also serves on the Saint Michaels Catholic School Advisory Council as well as the Parish Council for Saint Agatha Catholic Church in Bay Minette.
Prior to joining the Alabama Power team, he held various roles at Mississippi Power and has more than 12 years’ experience with Southern Company. Tripp’s passion for giving backing was recently recognized by Business Alabama Magazine as one of Baldwin County’s Top Movers and Shapers. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of West Alabama, is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Baldwin County and a member of Mobile Bay’s Top 40 Under 40 class of 2019.
When Tripp isn’t working in the community, he’s spending quality family time with his wife Natalie, their two children, Emma and Hamp, and their English Springer Spaniels. His favorite pastimes include being on the beautiful waters of the Gulf Coast, watching his kids play sports and cheering on his Mississippi State Bulldogs.
