Patrick was named vice president of Alabama Power’s Marketing and Economic Development in October 2018; chosen to lead the organization to meet aggressive growth initiatives generating revenue through sales, technical support, commercial business development and economic and community development. In addition, he is responsible for Alabama Power’s industrial, commercial and residential major accounts.
Patrick started with Alabama Power in the economic development department since joining the company in 2011, and named vice president of the organization in 2016, which for 100 years has been a trusted resource for companies to evaluate Alabama as a place to do business.
Prior to joining Alabama Power, he was the senior vice president of Economic Development for the Birmingham Business Alliance, where he led economic development recruiting, business retention and expansion efforts in the seven-county Birmingham metropolitan area.
Patrick is the current president of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, and currently sits on numerous boards including the Auburn University Harbert College of Business Advisory Board, Government & Economic Development Institute at Auburn University and the Auburn Research and Technology Foundation. In addition, Patrick is a participant in Leadership Alabama, class of 2018.
He is a member of numerous organizations, including the Birmingham Kiwanis and the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club.
Patrick is a graduate of Auburn University and lives in Birmingham with his wife, Kerri, and their four children.
